Terms of service

These terms explain how Opened works and what you agree to when using the service. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.

The service

Opened provides job shortlists, evidence-based explanations, saved editions and a private candidate profile for software engineers. You apply on the employer’s website. We do not submit applications, act as your recruiter, guarantee eligibility, or promise interviews, employment or visa sponsorship. Check the employer’s complete and current requirements before applying.

Your account and information

Use an email you control and provide information you have the right to share. Keep your sign-in secure. You remain responsible for reviewing your profile and the employer’s full requirements before applying. AI-assisted text can be incomplete or incorrect; do not treat it as independent verification of your experience.

Free and paid access

The free plan includes an initial personalized shortlist and sends a personalized email every Sunday, including a useful search update when no new roles match, which may include one labelled note after the roles. Paid mornings do not include that note. Monthly costs ₹199 per calendar month and Quarterly costs ₹499 every three calendar months. Both are subscriptions that renew until canceled and check each morning, including roles that opened since the last shortlist. The checkout shows the final payable amount and applicable taxes before you confirm. Emails follow your plan’s schedule, with a search update and useful reading when no new roles match.

Renewals and cancellation

Monthly and Quarterly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues through the current paid period. Existing one-time purchases expire on their original date, and older subscriptions retain their original renewal terms. Refunds or revocation remove access attributable to that purchase.

Billing support and refunds

Payments are processed by Polar. Contact us with billing issues or refund requests so we can investigate. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected by these terms. We do not ask you to send card details to us by email.

Acceptable use

Do not upload someone else’s private information without authorization, impersonate another candidate, bypass access controls, overload the service, or use it to spam employers or other people. We may restrict misuse or suspend access where necessary to protect the service and its users.

Availability and third-party services

Job postings can change or close. We check freshness and disable unverified application links, but cannot guarantee the accuracy or availability of an employer’s page. Third-party sites and providers have their own terms. Opened may change features as the product develops; material changes affecting paid access will be communicated.

Closing your account

You can unsubscribe from editions or delete your account from Preferences. See the privacy policy for the data removed and the records providers may retain. For questions about these terms or a dispute, contact us so we can try to resolve it.
